2000 years ago, the ancient transcontinental
Silk Road linked the Roman Empire in the West
to the Chinese Imperial Court
in the East.
It wasn’t one road, as the name implies,
but instead a series of routes that developed
over hundreds of years
.

The Silk Road is a vast region including Europe, the Middle East, the Arabian Peninsula and Central Asia. Our teams throughout the region are using various means and methods to create bridges to communicate the timeless gospel of Jesus Christ. The Silk Road is continually in the news, shaping world events. Situations change on a daily basis. Our teams need to be flexible and creative to meet the changing needs. Some are seeing hundreds come to Christ, while others are doing the hard work of planting and nurturing the seed. We have God's promise that if we faithfully pray and continue to work, God will provide a harvest. Please pray with us for our workers in the region, that God would give them strength, courage and wisdom, with hearts filled with love to reach people for Jesus.

How you can pray:

  1. God is blessing International Churches by gathering people from many nations to worship together. When these people are pro-active and intentional about the role God has given them, host nations are blessed and people’s lives are changed. Pray for more qualified International Church pastors to help with this work. Marriage Encounter has helped Poland’s North Warsaw church to grow to over 300. Pray for this means of seeing people come to Christ and strengthening marriage and family relationships, providing a greater base for church expansion.
  2. Many Chinese, Filipino and people from other nations have moved into the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula for work. Many are responding to the gospel and becoming part of local fellowships. Pray that they will be discipled well and in turn bless the people of the host nations.
  3. Greater challenges are being faced with the visa situation in a number of countries in the Silk Road region. Pray for resolution so our workers can continue their ministries in these countries.
