“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22).
The Christian and Missionary Alliance has hundreds of selfless workers who joyfully have given all, some risking their lives, to proclaim the great news that Jesus is Lord. The common, driving forces that compel them to give of themselves so extravagantly are their intimacy with the Saviour and his compelling call on their lives.
Now is the time to act on their behalf through intercessory prayer. Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. It is the flame that ignites his power to change lives. In the twenty-first century, opportunities for praying abound for such a time as this.
Intercessors listen to the Holy Spirit and yield themselves to him. Intercessory prayer, a combination of worship and verbal intercession, may be a unique experience to some, but it is a reflection of Revelation 5:8 - And when he had taken [the scroll], the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
“Not a whisper of true prayer is ever lost. The longer it waits, the larger it becomes.”
