NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING
March 16-20, 2010 - Antalya, Turkey
The Corporate Bylaws of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada state: "The biennial General Assembly of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada shall constitute the annual meeting of members when in session.” The Corporate Bylaws also state that "The member churches may resolve that a particular meeting of member churches be held outside Canada.”
General Assembly 2008 authorized the Board of Directors to hold General Assembly 2010 outside of Canada. The Board of Directors has selected Antalya, Turkey as the location of General Assembly 2010 and has chosen the dates: March 16-20, 2010. All licensed workers and churches of The Christian and Missionary in Canada have been advised of the location and the dates and have been invited to register accredited delegates.
The basis of representation of delegates to General Assembly, the composition of General Assembly Committees and the procedures relating to the conduct of business at General Assembly are outlined in the General Bylaws which are contained in the Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
The General Assembly shall receive the Report of the President; the Report of the Board of Directors, unaudited financial statements and such other reports as the Board of Directors may request. Due to the timing of General Assembly, the report of the auditors will not be presented but will be made available to member churches at a later date. The General Assembly shall elect members to the Board of Directors to replace retiring members.
The Reports to be considered at General Assembly will be posted on the website of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada on or about February 15, 2010.
