With rainy season only a few weeks away, it's time for us to do our annual teaching about prevention of malaria, and a distribution of highly subsidized mosquito nets. Since last year's mosquito net project, three of the men in the distribution group have chosen to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. The remaining two men now want to replace Matthew, because they see him as the one "making" the younger guys follow Jesus.
Please pray that the new believers will have the courage to keep following Jesus. Pray they will rejoice when they are excluded, insulted and rejected because of their faith (see Luke 6:22-23) and that they will love the ones doing these things. Pray God will reveal himself to the local leaders. Pray too for the mosquito net distribution—that the guys will work well together and that the nets we give will save lives and let people see God's love. |

| During the Easter weekend, the Connexion community took their faith to the street for a Sunday afternoon outreach event in the open air and a kids' club in the park. The church was joined by a youth team from Luseland Bible Camp led by Marilyn Kirk from the Luseland Alliance Church. For many of these people who are new in the faith, this was their first experience of sharing their faith in the public arena. New families have visited the church following the event and the community of faith has been strengthened for the church's 2012 vision to "Pray fervently and sow abundantly." |

This week was all about working together. The church at Bielsk was a busy place as about 40 people gathered for a work bee which included spring cleaning, laying a bit of sod and planting 140 young trees. Not bad for a church of under 80 members! Though many muscles hurt the next day, there was true joy and delight in working together. Many commented that never before had so many gathered for this intent—and the fellowship was great!
The hedge to me is also a great living illustration of planting and watering on a spiritual level. On Monday, April 30, the European field meets together for our annual Field Forum to be refreshed spiritually and to plan ways we can work better together in building God's Kindom here in Europe. Pray God will give us wisdom and discernment to know when, where and how to plant—and may he make it grow! |

We currently have two Canadian Christian cousellors here for two weeks to counsel the families of the car accident victims and the three youths who were kidnapped and killed last year. Pray for wisdom and the Holy Spirit's guidance as the counsellors meet with these individuals.
We are also hosting seven sessions to help gamblers quit gambling. Pray we will receive the occupancy permit for the community center. |
