Steward's Prayer
Lord, it is hard to comprehend,
but nevertheless a true statement:
What I spend, I lose;
what I keep will be left for others;
what I appropriately give away will remain ours forever.
Help me to follow your example –
to risk poverty because of my generosity,
so that the wealth of your Kingdom may be my joy,
both now and forevermore, for I know of
“the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that though he was rich,
yet for my sake he became poor,
so that I through his poverty might become rich.”
Thank you for your grace.
