The reality of Seamless Link at Lévis Alliance Church began over two years ago with a budget surplus we wanted to invest in God's work elsewhere. In faith, the Elder's Board sought the Lord's direction as to how he wanted to associate us with his work.

Soon after, we became aware of a need through a fundraiser held by the children in Sunday School under the direction of Lorilee Jespersen. The kids baked and sold cookies to help a radio station in West Africa care for abandoned babies.
We wrote to Colette, an International Worker who is the director of the station, and became aware of the need to fund program development and production. This need was shared with the congregation who voted unanimously to support this work with our budget surplus.
Meanwhile, Lorilee had become our Seamless Link Advisor, and we began working toward a formal partnership with Colette's work in Africa.
This new partnership provided an opportunity for me to visit churches in Alberta also associated with Colette's work. Two goals have been achieved through this: becoming acquainted with one another and seeing how God will use us together to further his Kingdom here and in Africa.
God blessed us over and above our expectations with a special visit from Colette to Lévis. She was able to share about her ministry, and in the presence of the entire congregation, we signed our Seamless Link Covenant on November 21, 2010.
The impact of all this on the congregation is already being felt. The needs of this ministry have become important in the personal and corporate prayer life of the congregation. A mission committee has been formed to assure good communication and address the changing needs of our partnership.
Personal meetings with Colette during her time here have connected people emotionally and spiritually to West Africa. Her passion for Africa through the radio station and the rescue centre was contagious and mobilizing. I believe we are at the beginning of a wonderful adventure uniting our Quebec and Western Canadian churches into building a bridge between Africa and Canada that will further God's work both locally and globally.
