General Assemblies of the
Alliance in Canada

General Assembly is the name given to bi-annual meetings of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada where churches from across the country as well as Alliance International Workers meet to discuss and vote upon policies that will direct the denomination for the following two years.

Assemblies also elect individuals—lay people as well as workers and pastors—to the Board of Directors, empowering them to guide the denomination between Assemblies and ensure that the Assembly’s wishes are carried out. Every four years, the Assembly also elects a President who acts as the chief staff person and visible leader of the denomination.
